President buhari at the national investiture apologised to the family of late Cheif Moshood Abiola over the annulment while investing Abiola with the highest honour (Gcfr).....
"On behalf of the Federal government, I tender the nation's apology to the family of M.K.O Abiola, who got the highest votes and to those that lost their loved ones in the cause of the June 12 struggle" the president said.. Fmr Heads-of-state, Obasanjo and Babaginda were noticeably absent, the latter cited health reasons while the former explained that he was outside the country.
