What We Refuse To See

What I don't understand is the swarm of flies,
Buzzing around you as you pass through the refuse dump? Is it the rotten waste underneath your feet or you are the rotten one itself?

You outstretch one arm, Like an octopus willing to mate, Is she ready to do same Or seeing you as the bait.

The eyes of men are somewhat blind Blind to the obvious realities Or should I say dangers around them.. They want a kiss from Poison Ivy Yet they want to stay safe

The vociferous rot of greed has shut their eyes from the path of Sight Now they see danger like bliss The wastes of Pop culture, has shrouded men from sight Now everyone thinks the same.

They believe Rape is cool, They believe Sexism is okay They believe Misogyny is perfect, And Patriarchy the best!
