At this side of the divide we still have a lot of unlearning to do about the movement of feminism, especially the crop of men whom I believe are so uncomfortable with the idea, a lot of them should do more thinking about this issue rather than talking trashy because most times we the real feminists are putting up with a lot of resistance more than we’d expect!....
Generalizing and saying that glamour girls, nasty attitude or bully women are the same as the real feminists because you are uncomfortable with this movement or not properly educated about this issue is you proving that you as a man are not willing to unlearn old fashioned cultural orientations that are now offensive and demeaning to adopt better ones.
These debilitating remarks, doesn’t make you mature or progressive rather it’s like saying that you’d rather prefer to continue climbing a flight of stairs instead of unlearning that old idea and getting knowledge about how to use an elevator.
You could allow your manly ego kick in when you are confronted about your choice by saying climbing the stairs is a mere conscious health option as you were only exercising your heart; What happens when you have urgent meetings to attend?... Is that shallow excuse still tenable for anyone to really take you seriously?.

It’s the same thing also as saying that you prefer to stick 100% to marketing your products and skills offline than unlearning that old fashioned idea that has now reduced your financial potentials as we are now in the information era to evolving and upgrading your business to a wider audience with the help of useful social media platforms.
Feminism is about equality of women’s rights as regards their rights to life, association, wealth and owning properties, right to use their skill set without any form of harassment or resistance, generally the full human rights for any woman.
The problem about the struggle of the feminism movement here in Nigeria, even in Africa is the strong resistance issued from cultural orientations, surprisingly not only are traditional men involved but also uninformed women.

These unenlightened ones are trampling down and dragging their fellow women who choose this path of sustenance and equality because the are simply on the same page with those uninformed traditionalist men.
They attack aggressively by saying that real feminists have lost all their cultural values to adopt foreign standards that are alien; infact they see and treat them as outcast.
While in the real sense the real feminists are the best models of what a modern woman should be!.
Real feminists believe that they have that choice of investing in their self worth and they don’t have to sacrifice every important part of their youth completely because of societal pressures of wanting to be seen in public as a ’good wife or mother’.
They attack aggressively by saying that real feminists have lost all their cultural values to adopt foreign standards that are alien; infact they see and treat them as outcast.
While in the real sense the real feminists are the best models of what a modern woman should be!.
Real feminists believe that they have that choice of investing in their self worth and they don’t have to sacrifice every important part of their youth completely because of societal pressures of wanting to be seen in public as a ’good wife or mother’.
You don’t have to watch your youth pass you by because you simply want to be seen and accepted socially as a ’virtuous woman’ even at the expense of your personal goals or aspirations. You don’t have to be a cloth horse or a brood mare who should be seen only and not heard or a woman who has a voice but is too scared to use it because of the ‘what will people say or think?' syndrome.....
The real feminists unlike public perception do not entertain fear, laziness or any form of indiscipline, she knows this and she is accountable for her actions and takes the full weight of her responsibilities. She thinks before she acts and if you study carefully these rare breeds of women are the power changers in our society!.
They have been able to find that balance between work, family and their personal pursuits. They know they have dreams and fight to accomplish them, they have the reputation of amazons who are not put down easily by cultural dictates.

A feminist for the last time is not a fickle minded or abusive woman, be it a baby mama, glamour girl or a nasty tempered woman or bully. We must understand this and stop deconstructing the movement of feminism.
I would continue to use my voice to enlighten women and men especially about the societal benefits of feminism on my platform because I’m loyal to that cause
